![]() Your questions lead me to a new question, so many years of developing krita and you tell me that you started to develop complex tools because the basic ones do not interest anyone? PS: curiously, the vectors end up being shown on a monitor as raster images, interesting, don't think so. HPGL: (HP Graphic Language), A de facto standard for plotters (Plotters). Vector graphics are ideal for simple and compound drawings that need to have independent shapes or that don't need to have a photo-realistic character. There are other types of operations at a much more sophisticated level that include actions on closed objects such as: join or weld, combine intersect and differentiate. vector, Typical vector graphing tools allow you to rotate, move, reflect, stretch, tilt, perform fine transformations of objects, change in order on the z-axis (axis that defines the 3D depth dimension) and combine primary objects to compose objects more complex raster, by matrix of cells as a satellite image The software is created to decrease the steps, the objective of a digital tool is not to increase a step in what is done, it is to decrease itġ if possibly, the more I analyze it the more I can see why most serious artists do not recommend krita for professional level work.Ģ PS develops the functions according to the requests of the users, according to a statistic they develop what is most requested, it is understandable that this policy applies to any software developmentģ another failure, wow, not being able to delete multiple guide lines of a single click, look for this in GIMP, and if it does, PS does it and several more similar to krita do it, they carry 2 things that they do not do properly.Ĥ regarding workflow: it is reiterative of the first point, I debate with the fact that the software is to decrease steps and work time, not to increase them, how old has krita been?ĥ there is no insult I have never applied a denigrating qualifying adjective to them, I asked a question, which obviously they do not like to be questioned is another matter There are some tools like line tool, rectangle tool, and bezier curve tool that draw on both vector layers and raster layers, and of course vector layers give much, much more control over everything no matter which stage of the process you are. ![]() ![]() ![]() It doesn't make a good feature request, for that please read this manual page how to write a good feature request - ītw, do you know a difference between vector shapes and raster shapes? Just asking to be sure. I don't think coming here and insulting the software, its fans and developers is of any use. And while your request here is quite understandable, just like that person's request was, too, you perceived importance of it is based solely on your workflow. Have you ever needed that feature? Probably not - this is very specific to that person's workflow. Or just recently I got someone telling me that they go back to PS because Krita doesn't have a feature to remove multiple guides at once. I know you probably feel now that it's a different matter because Bezier curve is a vital feature while masked brush is (probably) something that is just "nice to have", but I can't even count people who tell us that we should add "height map" for the masked brush feature cause otherwise Krita is inferior to Photoshop and it's very very important. Emm, so you decide Krita is a joke and not a serious software because of the lack of advanced features in one specific tool? And it's not even that Krita doesn't have the feature, just that the usage is a bit different (you can control the control points after drawing the line but only in a vector shape, but then you could in theory stroke the shape with the brush, so there is no issue, just one step more)? Is PS "not a serious software" because it doesn't have Colorize Mask? Is Gimp "not a serious software" because it doesn't have Masked Brush option in their brush engine (as far as I know)?
